Giles writes regarding the purchase of a carriage, Congressional business and personal news. He states that Philadelphia carriages are losing their reputation in the South as they are not constructed for a Southern climate and adds that a false lining is indispensible. He also notes that Federalists are spreading lies about a $6,000,000 loan to the French in order to influence the upcoming election.
